Sun, pow pow, happy faces, bluebird, hiking, gopros and some really nice people made this day and this little "livsnjutar" -edit! This is the first time a tried my gopro and I did this little edit myself, unfortunately in a bad quality. (Better editing next time.)

The riders and hikers are me, Sisi Cavretti, Jonas Mattsson, Tim Eriksson, Teddy Eriksson, Kalle Karlström and a lot of guys from Stockholm: Hannes Tomani, Charlie Larsson, Emil Eriksson, Tobias Herre, Stellan Nilsson and Oskar Karlsson
.

I felt a little bit like a coward today and just had a grabsession (old school version) in the kicker =)

Hitchhiking

As I wrote before we are living in the middle of the Big Bear forest so when it´s time to by some food on the grocery store we have to hitchhike back and forward. But most of the americans we have met are so nice! So far we have not had any problems with that. But we are thinking of renting a car though because everything gets much easier.

Powday in Big Bear!

The storm came in over Big Bear and it was dumping snow! So on saturday morning me and Cicci had a lot of fun with powshredding and a looooot of hiking! =)

It´s gonna be sunny on sunday and monday so we are gonna get som really niiice powdays! Hopefully the sun will stay for a while so we will get some sunny parkdays as well. So far the parkshredding has been really cold, hard and windy.

Rockspray Drive

My birthday was great! A long day of parkshredding and then some mexicanfood with the Rockspray Drive crew at a restaurant in Big Bear village, and of course we ended the day with a big chokladcake from Vons grocery store =)

Thanks everyone for all congratulations!!

Me and Cicci are sleeping on the loft in the livingroom. Untill today we have been climbing on a rope to get up because the "loftentrance" was locked. But finally we bought a metalsaw on K-mart and cut the locker to the entrance so we could get the ladder down. What a project!
The house is, like all the houses in Big Bear, really big with two floors and big terraces.

This is the view from the loft.

In Big Bear

I´m in Big Bear now! After a long and too expensive shuttleride from Los Angeles I arrived to Rockspray Drive in Big Bear. I arrived in the middle of the night so we went to bed straight away.
I´m gonna spend three and a half week here with Cicci Cavretti, Jonas Mattsson, Tim Eriksson, Teddy Eriksson and Kalle Karlström in a house in the middle of the forest, just 200 meters from Big Bear Ski resort.

First day in the park

I´m so jetlagged and tired so it was a lot of chillin in the park today just to get to know whats out there.
We had fun! And the park was niiice! I hope I´m not gonna be as tired tomorrow! =)

Sunny California and Big Bear - on my way

The New York plane

Believe it or not but when I´m writing this I´m sitting on an airplane on my way to Big Bear in sunny California =) I have been so busy with everything the last days so I have not even been writing that I´m going there. I´m gonna meet upp with CIcci Cavretti in Bear Mountain and we are staying with some friends in a big flat close to the slopes. I will be away for over three weeks. And I´m nervous! Such a long time away from home and Robert. But I know I´m gonna have it great over there! =) My Svensson is meeting up with us in less than one week from now.
I have my Goprocamera with me and hopefully it´s gonna be a lot of filming and shredding in the biggest railpark in the world!!

The New York airport

Now I am in New York, waiting for the conecting plane to Los Angeles. It´s crazy how many securitychecks you have to go through when entering this country. And all this questions! Where are you going? How long will you stay? What are you doing here? Why are you coming here? Like robots with sad faces, they don´t even look up at you when taliking. Well, I did pass so now I´m gonna be in America for a while.

I have theese mixed feelings. I kind of regret that I´m gonna stay in Bear for so long because I had such a great snowboardtime back home in Sweden before I left. But at the same time it feels like you should take the opportunity to stay in Usa for a while when you are going there.

Well, I hope everything will be ok.

More street

Monday morning and there were some more streetshredding with Joakim Rasmussen, Philip Grund, Viktor Wiberg, Alex Hapamääki, Robert and me. We had an awesome day and everyone were killing it!
In the beginning of the winter when I started to ride streetrails I could just see the scarry stairs and as I described in a earlier input, I could see myself really hurt laying in the stairs. I almost just saw the consequences. But now, my eyes see it differentely. I am not as afraid and I can se all the posibillities instead!! But I have to learn more new tricks on the parkrail so I can do more tricks on the streetrail! It´s not worth taking too big chances on the streetrail when you are not safe on the trick. Then there will be consequences for sure! Even though I have done some new tricks on streetrails that I have not even been trying before! And that´s a great feeling!!

I won!

Chillinvitational sponsored by Nitro, 2 star TTR contest in Gesunda, and I won!

I started the day with a long and good breakfast buffee at the hostel I lived in and with a lot of hot coffee in my stomach I was ready for some slopestyle! I met up with the girls Malin Johansson, Jessica Fromm Comte, Johanna Holmstedt and Linn Sandberg and for a moment we were pretty skeptic when we saw the parklane. But the sunshine and a lot of laughs made the day! The jumps were ok, pretty big though, since I have not been hitting jumps in such a long time. But I made it anyways and it feels so good!
Morningcoffee.

Me, Jessica, Johanna and Linn.
Malin Johansson got second and Jessica Fromm Comte got third! Congratulations to them, they did great!

I drove back from Gesunda and arrived in Uppsala late that night and after a few hours sleep, me, Robert and Rasmus were on our way to Stockholm for some streetrails.

Kungsberget and Gesunda

Today I took my car to Kungsberget for the first time this year! It was really fun and the park was so nice! Me, Dennis Ohlsson and John Henry were shredding together in the afternoon untill the park closed. I tried to hit the jumps and I had a great time! It was so long ago since I was hiting jumps because I´ve mostly been consentrating on the "railthing" lately.

I´m sitting on a hostel close to Mora. I drove here after snowboarding in Kungsberget. Tomorrow, I´m gonna compete at the Chillinvitational Slopestylecontest in Gesunda close to Mora. It´s a two star TTR contest. Jumps and rails, so yes... we´ll see how that´s gonna work... =) But I´m gonna have fuuuuun with the girls that´s coming here to compete! =)

Two days in Stockholm

Back in Uppsala and a lot of streetshredding on the list.

Wednesday
Me and Robert met up with Dennis Ohlsson in Stockholm. We found this backside rail, hidden in the forrest, that looked great and we were hiking it all day long. I went home happy with some new tricks in my body =)
It had this "knopp" in the end but it was ok anyways.
We kind of had to climb in the tree when standing on the "starttorn". A little bit sketchy but it worked.
I love trees..
that I can be upsidedown in..
You should try it yourself. It´s awesome!

Thursday
We had such a slow start on this day. Our bodies were really tired after a lot of hiking, shoveling, running and shredding lately. But even though I almost could not get out of bed because I felt so exhausted, my snowboard was screaming for love and I had to give it some! =)
So, me and Robert met up with Joakim Rasmussen and Alex Haapamäki, again in Stockholm, for hiking another backside rail. I felt tired and had run out of energy but I had a nice time with the guys anyways.
Robert and Jocke.

Alex Haapamäki.
I guess, since I have not done a lot of streetrails at all, it takes a lot of mental energy to just "do it". It´s a lot more consequences than a parkrail as we all can understand. That´s why, I guess, I´m getting a bit more tired than the veterans I´m shredding with =)
But it´s worth it (!!!) because the adrenaline it gives me is the best ever! =)

Bluebird in Åre

We took the train to Åre with Roberts father and his sambo Lisa on saturday morning. A nice hotelroom, really great food, perfect breakfast, wonderful people, "solsidan" and a lot of shredding was awaiting us and I felt good. And I´m still feeling good sitting on this small cozy hotelroom on happy valentines day with Robert, after a really productive day filming two pretty fun streetspots. I also managed to do a beautiful faceplant when hiting a ledge so my face looks a bit strange.

It was also so great meeting up with Anna Nilsson, Emma Ruzicka and Sofi Lidman on Dahlboms before dinner on Åregården. Congratz Sofi on your birthday!! =)

We´ve had two days with blubird and a lot of sunshine. It has been really cold though but with a lot of clothes everything kind of works anyways.

The first day Otto Norin was filming in the railline in Bräcke with us. See the edit on his blog when it´s ready.
It was really cold outside so Roberts beard and hair was kind of frosen.
And I am lucky, because I don´t have a beard that can freeze.
The second day we filmed two spots: A ledge and a closeout downrail.
My first ledge.
Robert threw his board overboard.
Still happy though.
But maybe a little bit crazy..
Happy valentines day!

Picture in Transition magazine

Yes, I am happy about this =) and yes, maybe it´s a little bit geeky to put this on the blog, but what the fuck. My first picture, taken by Jonatan Nylander in Sälen this december, is published in the new Transition magazine. Someone wondered why there is suddenly a big Boardstorelogo on the picture when I´m riding for Junkyard. But it´s just because they sponsored the competition, and I´m of course still riding for Junykard!

Spottime in Uppsala

Spottime in Uppsala, in this new wonderful winterland, with Robert and our friend Christoffer Petterson called Mange from Gävle.

We found this great rail that looked kind of nice with a little bit of a drop on the side. It was sunny and so beautiful white outside and after a lot of work wtih the setup we could start shredding and filming.

It´s an awesome feeling when you do a trick you don´t think you can do. And when you try, it works so damn good! =) This was one of those "awesome feeling" days and I was happy!

Mange.

Since street is kind of new for me it´s always so scary to make the first hit. I have this really creepy feeling where I can see myself laying there.. in the stairs.. damaged and destroyed.. Haha, but after the first hit I get a totally different feeling in my body and luckely in my mind. So then, it´s just to start with the "sulning". Robert and Mange did some really perfect tricks and after the session we were kind of tired.
Coffeetime.

Watching the clips.

Time to go home.
